Delivery & Returns

Delivery Information

On the day of delivery our carrier can deliver at anytime between 7.30am and 5.30pm. The goods will need to be signed for at the point of delivery. If you think you may not be available to accept the delivery please make the necessary arrangements to delivery to a different address (work perhaps) or be available to collect the goods from the carrier’s depot.

On delivery, it is your responsibility to inspect and report to Central Office any visible damage/defect to the Products and to your property.

Do not leave products wrapped and unchecked. All visible damage should be reported within a reasonable time frame, we consider this to be within seven days of delivery, this does not affect your statutory rights as a customer.

Made to Measure

All our made to measure products are lovingly hand crafted to a standard we’re extremely proud of. We take every care and attention so please be patient as we estimate your goods to take up to 21 working days to manufacture* (subject to fabric availability).
Special order fabrics will take longer to manufacture to allow time for the special order to be delivered.
Delivery dates quoted are for guidance only and can vary depending on circumstances.

Fabric by the Metre

All orders received will be despatched** within 3-5 working days* subject to stock availability.

Ready Made Goods

All orders received will be despatched** within 5 working days* subject to stock availability.

  • *working days are classed as Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays and Xmas shut down.
  • **Individual items may be despatched separately.

Stock Availability

From time to time stock can be faulty, run low or discontinued, whilst every effort is taken to ensure all our information provided is accurate there may be occasions where there is not sufficient stock to complete your order. In the unlikely event this should happen we will contact you immediately. This may impact the delivery timescales.

Goods Purchased Before July 2nd 2014

Curtain Concessions Ltd (owned by Ena Shaw Ltd) bought the Montgomery brand and intellectual property in August 2014. Any orders placed with Montgomery Furnishings Ltd prior to July 2nd 2014 are being handled by the appointed administrators Duff & Phelps Ltd. Curtain Concessions Ltd are not liable for the fulfilment or any service issues for orders placed with Montgomery Furnishings Ltd prior to July 2014.

Goods Purchased in Store

If you have purchased or placed an order in one of our store concessions please return to the store for details of the returns and refund policy. Please note: stores will not accept returned items that have been bought online from www.montgomery.co.uk or bought over the phone.

Made to Measure Items

Made to Measure curtain & curtains accessories, and made to measure blinds are manufactured to customer's individual sizes therefore we cannot accept cancellations or alterations and we are unable to offer refunds once your order has been placed.

All Montgomery Made to Measure curtains & blinds are hand-made and quality checked at every stage to ensure that they are delivered to you in perfect condition. Please ensure that you unpack your goods as soon as you receive them as failure to unpack the goods may lead to creasing. Creasing will not be considered as a fault. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with the manufacture or the fabric Curtain Concessions Limited reserves the right to request images or for the goods to be returned for inspection.

None of the above conditions affect your statutory rights when goods are faulty, or not as described. Our cancellation, refund and return policy complies with the Distance Selling Regulations.

In the unlikely event that there is a problem with the manufacture of the fabric then please contact our Customer Relations Department on 0330 660 0817. Returned goods will be inspected for faults and the reported problem.

We reserve the right to rectify or replace in the first instance.

The item will need to be returned please contact our Central Office to be allocated a Returns Authorisation Number. No return will be accepted without a Returns Authorisation Number.

We do not offer an alteration service however we do want to be able to support our customers so if you find you require an alteration, please email/phone our Central Office for advice - info@montgomery.co.uk .

Made to Measure Delivery Charges

If goods are faulty then we will arrange collection of the goods where ever possible, however if this is not possible delivery and postage charges will be refunded in the first instance.

If the order was placed incorrectly by the customer delivery and postage charges are non refundable.

Fabric by the Metre

Fabric ordered by the metre, either as a continuous length, or as a number of individual cut lengths are supplied to customer's individual size requests therefore we can not accept cancellations or alterations and we are unable to offer refunds once your order has been placed.

All Montgomery orders are quality checked at every stage to ensure that they are delivered to you in perfect condition. Please ensure that you unpack your goods as soon as you receive them as failure to unpack the goods may lead to creasing.

In the unlikely event that there is a problem with the fabric then please contact our Customer Relations Department to be allocated a Returns Authorisation Number. No return will be accepted without a Returns Authorisation Number.

Ready Made Curtains, Poles & Blinds

You can cancel your order within 7 days. If you wish to cancel call Central Office on 0330 660 0817 to inform of your intention to cancel and then you must follow up in writing by post, email or fax. A full refund including delivery charges will be given.

  • We request that goods are returned within 30 days of purchase.
  • Returned goods must be in an unused re-saleable condition and must be accompanied by the advice note sent with your order. Whenever possible please return original packaging.
  • Ready Made curtains cannot be returned or refunded once the strings have been drawn on the pencil heading tape or if they have been altered*
  • Ready Made curtains cannot be returned or refunded if they have been altered*
  • All refunds will be credited to the Credit/Debit card used for the purchase within 30 days.
  • *Please note that any alterations made professionally by ourselves or a 3rd party are included in this policy.
  • Costs/charges for the return of unsuitable or incorrectly ordered goods are non-refundable.
