HINTS AND TIPS MEASUREMENTS
Always measure the curtain track or pole, not the window. If fitting a new track or pole this should extend 15cm to 30cm either side of the window (to allow the curtains to be stacked back) and 12cm to 15cm above the window recess.
If you have a track with an overlap arm, measure the track as shown below then measure the overlap arm and add the two measurements together (a+b) = total track width.

When using a pole, measure the pole length (a) excluding the finials. If you have not fitted the pole allow for at least another 15cm each side of the window

Curtain Drop:- For Eyelet headings, measure from the top of the pole and add 3cm to the drop to allow for the fabric visible above the pole. Pinch Pleat curtains are usually hung to reveal a decorative pole. curtains are best hung either to the floor, to a sill o below the sill. We recommend that curtains finish either :
1cm above the sill or 15-20cm below the sill (or 3cms above the radiator) or 2.5cm above the floor.

.
Measure the drop from the pole or track. When hanging from a pole the assumption is made that the curtain will hang from the top or middle pocket of the tape to reveal the decorative pole. If attaching to a track the curtains usually cover the track.
