A curtain valance is a short window treatment that covers the top portion of a window. Curtain valances may hang alone or cover the top of blinds or curtains and offer a way to hide the blind and curtain hardware underneath.

Curtain valances are hung on a separate rod or track to keep them independent of any curtains directly hung underneath them. Once the valance has be put into place and arranged correctly they remain stationary and cannot be drawn like curtains. Our made to measure curtain valances are custom made to your exact measurements allowing you to choose the overall drop and shape while ensuring the perfect fit for your window.

We have many styles of valances available from simple straight or shaped valances through to boxpleated valances all of which are available to order online. You can also choose between standard pencil heading or the more decorative pinch pleat heading and have your blind finished with a choice of linings. You can easily apply the more simple customisations such as a contrast border on the bottom when placing your order here on our website however at Montgomery's we have a wealth of more complex styles and contrast combinations which we feel would benefit from a more direct contact with our experienced consultants and so are only available offline at the moment.

To order online use our fabric search (on the right) to find the fabric you would like and then click on the "MORE INFO / BUY NOW" button. Choose the "ORDER VALANCE" option from the Fabric Details page and follow our step by step guide to detail your requirements.

You can choose to have your valance shaped or straight, choose from 3 different heading types (Pencil, Pinch Pleat or Box pleat) and where available choose to have a contrast border running along the bottom of the valance.
